Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The excitement is building as Epic Games prepares to introduce the much-anticipated Godzilla skin to Fortnite on January 17. Thanks to dataminers, details about the collaboration with Monsterverse have surfaced online, revealing a treasure trove of content for players to enjoy. Alongside the standard Godzilla skin available through the battle pass, fans can look forward to acquiring Mechagodzilla and Kong skins from the in-game store. These sets will come complete with unique jet packs and custom pickaxes, adding a thrilling dimension to the gameplay.

On the same day, Fortnite will launch an exhilarating new boss event featuring an oversized Godzilla. One lucky player on the map will transform into Godzilla, wielding its iconic atomic breath ability. The challenge for other players will be to team up and take down this colossal beast. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla will be rewarded with a special medallion that grants a unique ability, adding a competitive edge to the event.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with the following pricing:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One Emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks

In addition to the Monsterverse excitement, Fortnite continues to attract a diverse array of performers and artists. Rumors are swirling about a potential collaboration with the iconic Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between the Hatsune Miku and Fortnite Festival accounts have sparked speculation, especially after the latter mentioned having Miku's missing backpack. Fans can anticipate a range of Miku-themed items, including a stylized pickaxe, a variant of the "Miku the Catgirl" skin, and the possibility of a virtual Hatsune Miku concert, promising an immersive experience for players.
