The Battle of Polytopia Brings a New Game Mode Called Weekly Challenges

The Battle of Polytopia has just spiced up its gameplay with the introduction of Weekly Challenges, adding a fresh layer of competition to this beloved 4X strategy game. If you're eager to put your strategic skills to the test under new conditions, you'll want to dive into these weekly events.

It Was Random Before

The game has always been known for its randomness, with varied enemies, resources, and maps keeping each match unpredictable. However, the latest free update introduces a more structured competitive environment. Every week, players are given the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? Achieve the highest possible score within 20 turns. You can attempt this once per day, allowing a maximum of seven tries per week.

This new feature also offers the chance to play with tribes you might not yet own. The Battle of Polytopia boasts 16 tribes in total—four available in the base game and twelve additional ones for purchase, ranging from $1 to $4 each. With Weekly Challenges, everyone competes using the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?

Absolutely, the Weekly Challenges are set to inject new excitement into The Battle of Polytopia. Alongside this, a new League system has been introduced. Starting in the Entry League, your performance will dictate whether you move up or down the ranks. Each week, the top third of players advance, the bottom third drop, and the middle group remains in place.

The difficulty also ramps up as you progress through the leagues. In the Entry League, you'll face AI on Easy mode, but by the time you hit the Gold League, you're up against Crazy difficulty bots. If you miss a week, you won't be demoted, but your ranking will adjust based on others' performances.

Ready to take on the challenge? You can check out The Battle of Polytopia on the Google Play Store and jump into the new Weekly Challenges feature.
