The Dark Knight's reign in the video game world was once a constant stream of new releases. Rocksteady's Batman Arkham series, in particular, significantly impacted the superhero game genre, setting a high bar that continues to influence development today.
But lately, Batman's video game presence has dwindled. A true standalone Batman adventure hasn't graced our screens since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's no immediate indication of that changing. Though comic fans eagerly anticipate upcoming superhero titles, those wanting to don the cowl will have to delve into the back catalog to find the best Batman gaming experiences.

He appeared in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, though it's not strictly a Batman-centric game. More importantly, the Arkhamverse expanded with a new VR entry. This review has been updated to reflect this new release and includes additional images showcasing some of the best Batman titles.
