April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Unveiled

Author : Carter Apr 19,2025

Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers for April 2025, featuring three diverse titles: RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These games were announced via a PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers starting April 1, free of additional charge, until the next set of games arrives on May 5.

The April 2025 selection caters to a variety of gaming tastes. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, is a first-person shooter that immerses players in the role of Alex Murphy, tasked with saving a crime-ridden Detroit. The game received a significant update in January of the previous year, introducing a New Game Plus mode, which added to its replay value. Our review at launch scored it a solid 7/10, highlighting its appeal and faithful recreation of the '80s atmosphere.

For fans of multiplayer horror, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an intense asymmetrical experience. Players can choose to either survive or hunt as part of the notorious Slaughter Family, including the terrifying Leatherface. While our initial review gave it a 6/10, citing some technical challenges, it still provides thrilling gameplay for those looking for a horror fix.

Rounding out the trio, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco offers a more relaxed pace. This turn-based RPG expands on the digital world of Digimon, introducing over 320 creatures to collect and a fresh perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth storyline. It's an excellent choice for those who enjoy monster-collecting games and a change of pace from the high-octane action of the other two titles.

As these games become available, PlayStation Plus subscribers should also remember to download the March 2025 titles, including Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, before they are replaced on March 31. This ensures that players can enjoy a rich variety of gaming experiences without any additional cost.
