Application Description

Crank Arm Design and Fabrication Tool

This innovative tool allows you to create crank arms with specified dimensions using either a leather cutter or a 3D printer. It calculates the necessary parameters and generates either an SVG file for 2D designs or an STL file for 3D models of the crank arm. The generated data can be easily viewed and shared across various applications, enhancing collaboration and production processes.

Key Features:

  • Automated Balance Weight Calculation: The tool automatically calculates the size of the balance weight based on the crank arm's parameters. It takes into account the outside diameter of the balance weight, the mass on the crank pin side, and the density of the crank arm material to determine the optimal balancing weight size.

  • Parameter Input:

    • Crankshaft diameter (mm)
    • Crank pin diameter (mm)
    • Crank arm length (mm)
    • Crank arm width (mm)
    • Balance weight radius (mm)
    • Thickness (mm)
  • Data Integration and Sharing: The generated data can be seamlessly displayed and shared with applications connected to 3D printers and PCs, streamlining the manufacturing process.

  • Size Reference: For easy size comparison, the tool includes an underlaying square the size of a credit card.
