Carplounge Autopilot/Raymarine Element App for RT7 & RT4 V4
Control your BaitBoat with the Carplounge Autopilot, using an Android tablet or phone instead of a traditional remote. The free app, available on the Google Play Store, works with any Bluetooth-enabled Android device. A transmitter box connects your tablet to the boat, providing full touchscreen control.
In manual mode, steer your BaitBoat directly via the touchscreen. The app displays your boat's position, route, and orientation (including a compass function) on an updated map. Use the built-in GPS to save and name promising fishing spots (e.g., "jetty left," "spot 1," "home") identified with your echo sounder.
Autopilot mode lets you create routes by selecting and combining saved points, assigning actions like opening hatches (left/right) or releasing bait (left/right) at each point, and activating lights. For example: 1) Navigate to "Sandbank," open the right hopper upon arrival; 2) Proceed to "Spot 2," open the left hopper; 3) Return to your fishing spot and flash the lights once. The boat will automatically follow this route after loading. You can store virtually unlimited spots and routes.
High-precision position and acceleration sensors, along with advanced GPS and compass technology, ensure accurate route guidance—achieving 90% accuracy within 30cm! Intelligent line tension management prevents line bends when deploying multiple rods to different spots. If line tension is detected, the boat automatically adjusts its course to maintain a direct path to the target.
The autopilot replaces the standard remote, but you can still connect a remote control if preferred. The app is optimized for 10-inch tablets, but any Bluetooth-enabled Android tablet can be used for direct touchscreen control. We continuously develop and expand the app, delivering new features, changes, and improvements via automatic updates through the Google Play Store. This eliminates the need to send your autopilot or boat for updates.
