Cards Golf

This app features three two-player card games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat, selectable via in-app settings.

Four Cards Golf Rules:

The objective, like in golf, is to achieve the lowest possible score across nine rounds. Each round starts with each player receiving four face-down cards. Remaining cards form a draw pile, with one card face-up in a discard pile.

Players initially get one peek at their two closest cards. These must remain hidden from their opponent. Subsequent viewing is only allowed during discarding or final scoring.

On a turn, a player draws from the draw pile, replacing any card in their layout (without seeing the replaced card). The replaced card is added face-up to the discard pile. Players can also draw from and immediately discard from the discard pile without replacing a card.

Players can “knock” to end their turn, preventing further knocking but allowing opponents to continue drawing and discarding. The round concludes after the knock.

Scoring:

• Matching card pairs (same value) in a row or column: 0 points
• Jokers: -2 points
• Kings: 0 points
• Queens and Jacks: 10 points
• Other cards: face value
• Four of a kind: -6 points

Six Cards Golf Rules:

This two-player game also aims for the lowest score over nine rounds. Each player begins with six face-down cards, with a draw and face-up discard pile established as before.

Players initially reveal two cards. They reduce their score by swapping cards for lower-valued ones or creating column pairs of equal rank.

Turns involve drawing from either pile. Drawn cards can replace a player's card (leaving the replacement face-up) or be discarded (ending the turn). The round ends when all cards are face-up.

Scoring:

• Column pairs: 0 points
• Jokers: -2 points
• Kings: 0 points
• Queens and Jacks: 20 points
• Other cards: face value

Card swapping and discarding are handled via taps. Play against AI or a friend on the same device.
